About Oracle 18c XE
Oracle Database 18c Express Edition (XE) is the ideal way for Developer, DBA, Data scientist, Educator etc to get started.
Simple download, Ease to use, and a full-featured experience, all completely free!!!
Some following limitations compared to Standard and Enterprise Edition database releases.
Supports two CPU cores only
User data limited to 12GB
Maximum of 2GB of RAM supported
Maximum of 3 PDBs supported
Does not work with Oracle GoldenGate
No RAC and no Data Guard features available
Install in windows
Follow the below steps to install windows (very simple!)
Log into Windows with a user that is a member of the Administrators group.
Download OracleXE184_Win64.zip
Extract zip file to a local temporary directory and run setup.exe.
When prompted by the installer, provide the install location, the database password, and begin the installation.
When the installation is complete, note the provided connection strings on the final screen.
